celebrated its 50-year anniversary in 1998, management and colleagues together
looked back on a tradition of permanent development and renewal. Established
by Erich Schirdewan in 1948 originally as a truck business, the company developed
itself over decades as the most efficient rescue and tow service in the region.
Additional company divisions are auto autilization, sale of needed spare parts,
motor vehicle workshop, industrial crane functioning and forklift rental.

Rescue, Towing and Breakdown Assistance In this business field, Schirdewan is
unbeatable. Always considering quality and customer satisfaction, partnership
contracts exist with almost all notable automobile clubs, insurance agencies,
assistance companies, police and other authorities. With 14 million members,
the ADAC honored Schirdewan with a prestigious document for its 40-year old
partnership as an ADAC-street service and for the auxiliary readiness of around
the clock service 365 days per year. Absolute efficiency is most important. With
business now in the large area of Pforzheim, Schirdewan is known as a "tested
specialty business of the VBA" (association of the rescue-and tow firm e. V.)
certified for the categories automobile, truck, as well as heavy traffic group 1
and 2. In order to receive this qualification, a very high achievement level in
each regard must be fulfilled.

Old Car Disposal Another strong business branch is the professional disposal of
old cars. Schirdewan was the first certified company with the new „old car
regulations" and also known as the leader in the Pforzheim area. With high
investment in land expansion, the prerequisite was new construction and
dismantling of halls and warehouses. Environmental precaustions had the
highest priority. However scrap parts for sale does not make sense at the
beginning, but rather recycling i.e. mainly the recovery of more useful parts
after detailed examination. In a large, modern warehouse system of several
floors motor vehicle-parts from A to Z are carefully collected. Obviously this
multitude of parts is opened on EDV.

Motor Vehicle Master Workshop As an additional competent service-offer, along
with many others, Schirdewan offers the correct installation of purchased parts at
a favorable price in the motor vehicle-workshop. Here also the highly meaningful
thought of "repair with the correctly aged parts" is realized. Repairing vehicles of
all types and problems, weekly technical head investigation in the building,
exhaust fume test, etc. does not complete the duties of the workshop.

Tire Service The sale and installation of bargain new and used summer and winter
tires is an additional aspect of customer satisfaction. Worklift Rental with Driver
We offer the customer assistance in loading heavy loads. Up to 5 tons can be
moved.
Auto Crane Rental As many auto cranes of different size vary according to the
situation, the correspondingly suitable device can be requested and we can offer
a price ratio meaningful to your mission. A height of up to 55m and a weight of
up to 60 tons can be managed.
